Niulab Equipment, a supplier of analytical and laboratory

Swiss company Precisa Instruments AG.

Invensys launches new enterprise control system
Invensys Process Systems, a global player in the industrial
asset performance management, has announced the launch of world's first
enterprise control system called InFusion. The new InFusion enterprise control
system combines industry capabilities from across Invensys with advanced
enterprise information and integration technologies from both Microsoft and SAP
to dramatically reduce integration costs.
Speaking to mediapersons in Mumbai, Chris Lyden, corporate
marketing, vice president, Invensys Process Systems said, "With InFusion
technology, the most existing plant floor and enterprise systems can now be
cost-effectively integrated into a common system. In conjunction with a suite of
new performance services, the InFusion system will help industrial enterprises
more effectively align plant operations and maintenance departments with the
business to optimize overall asset performance management."
Shimadzu opens customer center in India
Shimadzu Analytical (India), a wholly owned subsidiary of
Shimadzu Corporation, Japan has opened its customer support center equipped with
the state-of-art instruments. The center will focus on customer training and aid
in analytical method development for its customers.
Speaking to mediapersons, Shigenori Nada, managing director,
Shimadzu Analytical (India) said, "We are investing about Rs 4 crore (100
million Yen) in setting up the company in India. With staff strength of 20
personnel at the initial stage, we will increase it to 40 within a year's
time. In addition to overseeing the activities of the customer support center,
we will also provide the marketing support to our distributors."
Sharing the details about the Indian operation, he said,
"We are also setting up a software development center to meet the
Corporation's software needs. The center will also act as a support hub to the
South Asia region. We are looking at achieving a target of Rs 300-400 crore in
the next five years."
Nicholas Piramal implements LabVantage's Sapphire
LIMS
Nicholas Piramal India Ltd (NPIL) has announced the implementation of
LabVantage's Sapphire TM, laboratory information management solution (LIMS) at
the Nicholas Piramal Research Center (NPRC) in Goregaon, India.
Harish Chawla, CIO, NPIL said, "We selected LabVantage's Sapphire after
evaluating many Indian and international LIMS packages and visiting a number of
installations."
Anil Kastuar, president of LabVantage's operations in the Asia-Pacific said,
"LabVantage has successfully implemented Sapphire at NPRC in just six
months. With our in-depth domain knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D and quality
processes, and the insight of the regulatory provisions including 21 CFR Part 11
and GxP standards, we offered NPRC an exceptional solution with measurable
gains."
Proteomics International ties up with TechnoConcept
Australia-based Proteomics International has concluded a deal with New Delhi,
India-based TechnoConcept, whereby the Indian company would become the exclusive
supplier of Proteomics' cutting-edge protein analysis services.
Dr Richard Lipscombe, MD, Proteomics stated that the deal would increase the
capabilities of both the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR)
and Proteomics, as well as adding to the overall capacity of the state to
deliver biotechnology-related services.
RSA Security to open development centre in Bangalore
RSA Security, a global player in protecting online identities and digital
assets, announced its plans to open its first development centre in Bangalore.
The centre will operate in tandem with RSA Security's other development
centres located in Brisbane, Australia; Bedford, USA; Herzelia, Israel; and
Chennai, India, at HCL Technologies, Inc.
Outlining the plans for the development centre, Stan Swiniarski, vice
president of Engineering (identity and access management) at RSA Security, said,
"The Bangalore development centre will oversee the company's
award-winning identity and access management software products and will also
play a key role in building mission-critical consumer solutions for
authentication and extending our current fraud protection offerings."
